Welcome to the website
of the Pastoral Family Care Department!
Marriage and family are among the greatest treasures of humanity. The mission of our Department is to defend life and to support all families, including those dysfunctional or based on non-sacramental unions.
Pastoral activities for families which we propose include preparation for married life and family life, as well as family counseling (including the training of specialists in the field), retreats and days of recollection for spouses and families. Our Department is also involved in organizing and supporting various pro-life events and cooperates with the institutions, both ecclesiastical and secular, which prioritize pro-life issues and other matters related to family.
After the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, the Pastoral Family Care Department of the Archdiocese of Przemyśl extended its activity to include the Ukrainian families (mainly women and children) seeking shelter in Poland. Within 10 months, comprehensive assistance was provided to over 1,500 Ukrainians arriving at the border in Medyka and at the railway station in Przemyśl.
From January 1, 2023, all activities related to helping refugees from Ukraine were taken over by the Pastoral Family Care Foundation. To find out more, please visit the website of the Foundation: pfcf.pl.
